Dr. Battle is a member of the Township of Union Parent Teacher Association (PTA), the New Brunswick District Coordinator of Women in Ministry (WIM), Secretary of New Brunswick District Minister’s Alliance, Secretary for the New Brunswick District Social Action and Social Concerns, Chairperson of Career Development & Workforce for Conference of Minority Transportation Official of NJ (COMTO NJ), Co-Chairperson of the COMTO NJ Garrett A. Morgan Shadow Program, COMTO NJ Co-Chairperson of the Reverend Doctor Martin Luther King Program, Assistant Secretary for the Franklin Township Interfaith Clergy & Leaders Council, Clergy Representative for the Franklin Township Municipal Alliance Prevention of Substance Abuse, a member of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) and a member of the Somerset County Black Caucus serving on the Economic Development subcommittee. Reverend Battle’s vibrant ministry is seeking to wrestle with challenges of this new century through Worship, Discipleship, Fellowship, Stewardship and Ecumenical Outreach. Reverend Battle is currently employed at NJ TRANSIT as a Revenue Contract Administrator in the Real Estate and Economic Development division. She has been called to do community service through involvement and awareness, policy changes, strategic planning, funding sources and education. The preaching and teaching ministry of Dr. Battle is biblical in its content, practical in its application and dynamic in its presentation. These creative and innovative ideas have propelled her to the forefront as a leader of both the civic and religious community. Reverend Battle is a sought-after powerful preacher and workshop facilitator for many church-related, college forums, and community oriented programs. Reverend Battle previously served as the Chief of Staff of over 40 ministries at North Stelton AME Church in Piscataway where the dynamic Reverend Kenneth L. Saunders is the Pastor of an over 1,000 disciples in church. Formerly, Dr. Battle was the Pastor of Saint James AME Church in Somerset, New Jersey. Today, Dr. Battle is the Pastor of Bethel AME Church in Pennington, New Jersey where the ministry is vibrant and thriving under her effective and energetic leadership. As a compassionate, servant leader, steeped in the Word of God with an abundant love for God and Church, Dr. Battle is leading believers both inside and outside of church walls to the next dimension in Ministry. Her strongest desire is to operate in the divine Will of God for her life, serving the church through life changing ministry as an obedient and humble servant leader of the Most High God. She knows God is empowering her to make a difference. She uses her gift of presence, to promote God and Kingdom Building. Her charge is, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor, He has sent me to proclaim freedom to the captives and recover sight to the blind, to let the oppressed go free, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.” (Luke 4:18) Reverend Battle is a transformational leader that embraces the Holy Spirit to engage, equip and empower. Dr. Battle is known as a change maker! She has always been an enthusiastic motivator, an encouraging praying friend, and purposeful collaborator. She realizes that there is no other way but to lift up the name of Jesus who deserves all the glory, honor and the praise! |
